Browsers are not working in windows 8.1

I recently updated by my widows 8 to windows 8.1 Now I cannot use internet. I am able to access anything on my mobile and my other laptop which has Windows 7 installed. I am searching this problem on the internet I am not able to find any proper solution.

The important thing is I can connect to wifi pretty easily. After that when I try to open any page on chrome it says this webpage cannot be displayed, as if I don't have the internet access. Internet explorer is not doing anything it just goes into freeze state and I have to open task manager to close it. In short browsers are not loading any website.
